We have two accommodations available for our fishing guests, both located near Nickelsville, Virginia in beautiful and scenic Scott County, the heart of our fishing region. Most guests combine their lodging with a multi-day fishing package, arriving the evening before their first float and driving home on the morning of day 3.
The Lodge at Bent Creek Farm is our main guest lodge on a working cattle farm on Copper Creek, near Clinch Mountain in Southwest Virginia. Established in 1990 by Eddie and Robin Skeen, the farm sits on historic land linked to early settlers and Boren’s Fort from the 1700s.
The lodge accommodates 7 guests with 2 queen beds, 4 singles, 2 bedrooms, and 2 baths. It features a commercial kitchen, deck with creek views, washer/dryer, outdoor fireplace, gas grill, Wi-Fi, fire pit, and other comforts for a relaxing stay after river activities.
Address: 2073 Little Duck Road, Nickelsville, VA 24271
The Carter Cottage is our secondary guest lodge, located just a couple of minutes up Little Duck Road from Bent Creek Farm. It is named for the family’s ties to the Carter family, a famous musical family from Scott County. The Carter Cottage has that down home feeling and is a cozy, comfortable, and inviting place to view the mountain vistas to the south.
The Carter Cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully furnished kitchen, Wi-Fi, gas grill, and everything you’ll need to recharge for a day of fishing on the river.
